STPS Educational Activities

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society is a volunteer organization whose primary mission is to educate the public about marine turtles.  We conduct sea turtle walks to show people nesting loggerheads which are allowed by special permit by the state of Florida.  We visit schools, civic organizations and environmental fairs, by request, to teach about sea turtles.  In our office in Indialantic, we have life size replicas of sea turtles and other educational displays and materials.  We invite the public to our monthly meetings which feature programs on topics related to sea turtles.   They are held at the Melbourne Beach Community Center on the first Thursday of the month, except during the summer.
