In The Loop
By Dean Bagley, UCF Marine Turtle Research Group

Jack, one of the male green sea turtles being tracked, has given us something fun to look at. The same day as our last update, he made a 32-kilometer loop out to the east and back to the center of his previous hits. The loop occurred over Aug. 26 and Aug. 27. He came back to the main cluster of locations and has remained there since. What I wouldn’t give to be out there trying to figure out what he finds so interesting.
Apollo continues to stay in his foraging location south of Boca Chica. I zoomed out a bit on the map so that you can see the relative size of the area he’s using. It is roughly 2 kilometers by 2 kilometers.
