PAMELA UPDATE

Our GPS transmitter sea turtle, Pamela, has evaded our search efforts. One of the receivers attached to her stopped working when we were looking for her to nest for the third time this season. We were unable to mark Pamela’s third nest. However, we are looking for her to nest again. As of about 5am on the 24thof July, she was about half a kilometer north of the flashing light in Floridana Beach. Looking at the data transmitted from her GPS, Pamela likes to nest in the Archie Carr Wildlife Refuge, but spends her inter-nesting periods between Floridana and Aquarina Beaches.
