At last we heard, Pamela had left Brevard County early Monday morning, August 20th. By Saturday, August 25th, she was just north of Pompano Beach, still making her way south down the coast of Florida. On Sunday, August 26th, she had made it all the way to Virginia Key in Biscayne Bay.
As of Wednesday, August 29th, Pamela had travelled to the south side of Biscayne Bay where she has been hanging around for the last couple of days. Whether this is her destination or a short stop over remains to be seen. Stay tuned to see if she stays or continues further south.
One last item of interest – Pamela’s second nest was evaluated. Out of a total of 123 eggs in the chamber, 80 hatched. How exciting!
