Turtle Krawl Volunteering

It takes more than 100 volunteers to complete a wide variety of pre-race and race-day tasks in order for the Turtle Krawl to be the successful event that it is. In order to make the race successful, we rely heavily on our amazing volunteers! We have several volunteer opportunities available. Volunteer opportunites are open to the general public. Opportunities that we need help with include:

Poster Hanging: We need volunteers to help hang Turtle Krawl Posters throughout Brevard County, and even neighboring counties, including the barrier island towns, Palm Bay, Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, Titusville, and beyond.

Race Packet Stuffing: We need volunteers to help stuff race packets at Running Zone.

Muffin Bakers: We need volunteers to help bake 200 dozen muffins for the race day.

Early Packet Pickup: We need volunteers to help distribute race packets at the Running Zone.

Parking Attendants: We need enthusiastic and cheerful volunteers to help direct cars to park in designated locations before the race.

Race Day Packet Pickup: We need volunteers to assist with race day packet pickup at Nance Park. Warning: This is a very fast-paced job. You need to be able to very quickly find names on a list and/or numbered bags in bins.

Food/Beverage Prep/Serving: We need volunteers to help cut fruit before and during the race. We also need volunteers to help us pass the fruit and water to runners after they finish the race.

Water Stop: We need interested volunteers to prepare/staff one of two water stops during the Turtle Krawl. This is an ideal position for a large group of volunteers who want to work together, if you know of any boy/girl scout troops who may be interested, for example.

Park Beautification: We need interested volunteers to assist with helping to clean the park after the race, including emptying garbage bins. This position will also include assisting everyone to take down the tents and fold-up tables. We also need at least two volunteers with pick-up trucks to help transport garbage bags to the dumpsters.

If you are able to help, please visit our Turtle Krawl website to sign up for the task(s) you’d like to help with.
