STPS Photo Contest – Deadline September 12th

Time for Our Annual Sea Turtle Photo Contest

Got a great sea turtle photo that you want to show off? Enter it into our photo contest for a chance to appear in the STPS 2027 Photo Calendar.

Our annual photo calendar celebrates the beauty of sea turtles while helping inspire conservation throughout the year. It also highlights important environmental dates, including World Sea Turtle Day, World Ocean Day, Earth Day, and many more.

Contest Details:

• Submit your favorite sea turtle photograph by September 12, 2026.
• One submission per photographer.
• Top 30 photographs will be posted on our Facebook page for community voting.
• Voting runs through September 26, 2026.
• The 13 photographs receiving the most “Likes” will be featured in the 2027 STPS Calendar.
• Winners will be announced by October 1, 2026.

Submission Requirements:

• Include the photographer’s name, a brief description of the image, and the location and date the photograph was taken.
• A completed STPS Photography Permission Form must accompany your submission.
• Images must be submitted by the photographer. If someone else is submitting the image, written permission from the photographer is required.
• Photographs must show sea turtles in a natural setting and follow all turtle-friendly photography guidelines (i.e., no flash photography, no images of people handling sea turtles, etc.)
• Images must be submitted in high-resolution.
• Previously submitted photographs that were not selected for a previous calendar may be entered again.
• Photography submissions only – no artwork.

Email your photo and completed STPS Photography Permission Form to 2026STPSPhotoContest@gmail.com.

By submitting your photograph, you grant STPS permission to use the image in the 2027 STPS Calendar and related contest promotions.
