Volunteer Q&A: Fundraising

So you’d like to volunteer with the Sea Turtle Preservation Society? We’re here to help you get started. Over the next few weeks, we will feature information about each of our programs and the volunteer opportunities available. Please take a look and find what interests you, then either complete a volunteer application online at seaturtlespacecoast.org or attend our Volunteer Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 22, 2020, in Room 109 next to our Turtle House at 111 S. Miramar Ave. in Indialantic, FL.
What type of program is this?
Our fundraising program is designated to develop fundraising events along with other ways to help raise money for STPS. The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
What would I do as a volunteer?
As a volunteer, we are looking for individuals who are able to help put events together along with communicating with the community to help make these events successful.
What is the time commitment?
Time will vary depending on the fundraising event.
Are there any special requirements?
- Turtle Talk 101 and Volunteer Orientation required
- Fundraising/event background (not required)
- Ability to work as a team
Are there any costs associated?
- T-shirt and name tag highly recommended
- Access to a computer is highly recommended
