Volunteer Spotlight: Amy Shea

By Megan Maynard
It would seem fitting that Amy Shea, an environmental educator, would join the STPS Board of Directors. Originally from Arkansas, Shea has been in Florida for 10 years and had an immediate interest in sea turtles from the moment of her arrival.
She believes education is a critical piece to STPS’s mission in helping sea turtles survive. When she first became a volunteer, she tried many activities before finding her stride. Members and volunteers are so welcoming that she found it easy to find the right fit.
