VOTE FOR STPS

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society has an exciting opportunity to expand its educational programming and teach more of the community about sea turtle conservation, but the organization needs everyone’s vote to make it a reality.
The not-for-profit group is in the running to receive a $5,000 grant, and the winner will be determined through online voting. There’s still time for everyone to vote.
This month, STPS has offered its first live online training sessions to STERP program volunteers and hopes to soon add other virtual educational programs and presentations to its offerings. The expansion has become imperative for STPS to continue its mission in the face the continuing Covid-19 pandemic. The grant funds would allow us to purchase the needed equipment and technology to offer more online, virtual programming.
To support the Sea Turtle Preservation Society, please go to www.seaturtles.org/vote. Voting began May 4 and continues through June 1, 2020. Each person may vote once.
Through the Summer Sea Turtle Sustainability Grant, the Turtle Island Restoration Network and SEE Turtles seek to support worldwide research and conservation projects relating to a global priority for sea turtle conservation: nesting beaches.
The program will award a $5,000 grant to the organization that receives the most votes. In addition, one participating organization will be chosen randomly from the contestants to receive a $1,000 grant.
