Vote for STPS

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society has an exciting opportunity to expand its educational programming and teach more of the community about sea turtle conservation, but the organization needs everyone’s vote to make it a reality.
The not-for-profit group is in the running to receive a $5,000 grant, and the winner will be determined through online voting.
To support the Sea Turtle Preservation Society, please go to www.seaturtles.org/vote. Voting began May 4 and continues through June 1, 2020. Each person may vote once.
Through the Summer Sea Turtle Sustainability Grant, the Turtle Island Restoration Network and SEE Turtles seek to support worldwide research and conservation projects relating to a global priority for sea turtle conservation: nesting beaches.
The program will award a $5,000 grant to the organization that receives the most votes. In addition, one participating organization will be chosen randomly from the contestants to receive a $1,000 grant.
For more than 30 years, the Sea Turtle Preservation Society has worked to protect sea turtles and their habitat in Brevard County, Florida. Through both public education and conservation programs, the all-volunteer organization strives to fulfill its mission statement, which is helping sea turtles survive.
Any grant funds awarded to STPS would be used to expand its educational offerings through the purchase of equipment and technology necessary to provide videos, virtual classes and training, and other distance/remote learning programs.
